- White House Review
In connection with the impending appointment of a client to a Federal government position, the Firm recently completed a Public Financial Disclosure Report that was reviewed and processed by the Office of Government Ethics at The White House. Upon a favorable review by the OGE, the report was submitted to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations for a final decision, which is imminent.
- $3.2 Million Refund
The Firm recently affected a Federal tax refund of $3.2 million for a client in connection with the carry back of a net operating loss. Refunds in excess of $2 million require approval of a Congressional Sub-Committee, and can take up to one year. Working closely with the IRS Taxpayer’s Advocate Office, we were able to consummate the refund in 105 days.
- $11 Million Tax Deduction
Utilizing the provisions of The Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentive Program, the firm advised the owners of a Manhattan office building on contributing a façade easement which resulted in an $11 million tax deduction.
- Non-Profit Work Goes Global
The Firm has recently been asked to increase the scope of services provided to an international charitable organization to include audited worldwide consolidated financial statements.
